I am trying to get through the WAW list before school but I am also reading 90 minutes in Heaven by Don Piper. A story about a man who was declared dead and came back to life after a Baptist preacher prayed for him, his recovery and what he is doing today. I am also listening to Last Light by Terri Blackstock, a story about what would happen if we suddenly lost everything that was electrical, this includes every motor. A very good read so far and this is the first in a series.

Hello all, I have taken a break from writing (not reading, of course). I have been having fun reading through that new series, Meg Langslow Mysteries, by Donna Andrews. I am on number 7, No Nest for the Wicket. I have also been listening to Eldest by Christopher Paolini from the Audio Books, Music and More. His third book in this series will be out in September. Don’t forget to check out our New Materials page, Janet Evanovich, Danielle Steel, James Patterson and more are in, also new DVDs are here!

I have finished the book “The Road Home” by Tommy Tenney & Mark Andrew Olson. A modern day take on the story of Ruth from the Bible. I am now reading the fourth book in the Meg Langslow series “Crouching Buzzard, Leaping Loon” by Donna Andrews. A great murder mystery series that is new to our library. Come in and see us!

Someone let me know we forgot to post who won our Mother’s Day contest! We actually had two winners. Karly Clinesmith wrote a poem about her mother to win the Memory Keepsake Album, and Donna Norton wrote a wonderful poem about her mother and won a bouquet of fresh flowers. We had 26 entries. We really enjoyed them all.

I just finished two books, The Shack by William P. Young. “This book has the potential to do for our generation what John Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress did for his. It’s that good!” Eugene Peterson. This book was very good and thought provoking. Then on the lighter side I just finished the 4th installment of the Maximum Ride series, The Final Warning by James Patterson. Not as good as the others but still a fun read.
