I just discovered the Online Story Time on Barnes & Nobles website. I listened to Chris Van Allsburg read his story “The Polar Express” very fun. Click on the picture of this story and it will bring you to the web page. The story will change January 4th. I will put the site under our DATABASES list on the right and you will be able to reach it there also.

Hello all, I am on vacation of a sorts and catching up on that reading!! I read a couple more of the Miss Julia series, Miss Julia Meets Her Match and Miss Julia’s School of Beauty, they are so funny. I also finished a book by Debbie Macomber Summer on Blossom Street. I am now reading Big Jack by J.D. Robb, a futuristic crime novel set in 2059. Don’t forget to come get a book to relax by this holiday season or an audio to listen to in your car as you scurry around with the season’s errands.

I wanted to announce that the library will no longer be open on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings due to budget restraints. We are sorry if this causes any inconvenience. I have been gone so my book reading has sky rocketed! I read The Americanization of Benjamin Franklin by Gordon S. Wood. This was a very interesting book about Ben who was 15th of 17 children, and how he became to embody the “self-made man”. Very interesting! I also read the 2 books we have by Virginia Smith, a fun story about 3 sisters. I also tried to catch up on the Miss Julia series, a very fun series about a feisty Southern heroine and the troubles that come her way! Come on down to the library and get your book!
