Hello, we will close Monday, August 23rd for an In-Service with the School. We will be open Tuesday. School is just around the corner! I have just read Nancy Pickard’s new book, The Scent of Rain and Lightning, a murder mystery set in Kansas, in a small town. Great twists and turns. You might of read her book entitled The Virgin of Small Plains a couple of years back, she was featured as the Big Read book in Kansas since she is a Kansas author.

I have finished the new Carol Higgins Clark book, Wrecked a fun mystery story that has Jack and Reagan Reilly on their 1st anniversary trying to have some alone time while the busy body neighbor ladies end up at their house after a bad storm breaks their living room window and a neighbor seems to have been dragged out to sea after being found unconcious while Skip runs for help. I am reading the new Donna Andrews book, Stork Raving Mad. As usual a crazy life is happening to Meg while a professor is killed at her house. She is awaiting the birth of twins! Come on by and see more Sharyn McCrumb, James Lee Burke, Lisa Gardner, Elizabeth Adler, Jennifer Weiner, Tess Gerristsen (the series the new TV show Rizzoli & Isles is based on) and Danielle Steel.

Summer Reading begins June 1st, Story Hour will be at 10 o’clock on Tuesdays, Summer Reading for Pre-K to 4th grade will be Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3 o’clock. Toddler Time will be on Thursdays at 10 o’clock. Teen’s (5th – 8th grade) will be Wednesdays at 1:30. We also are having a Summer Reading for the adults, sign up today. Come to the library for your summer fun!
We will close Monday, May 24th for a work day. We will also be closed Saturday, May 29th, and Monday, May 31st in celebration of Memorial Day.
As school comes to an end we will be gearing up for summer! We have some new books in, some of my favorite authors, and some new movies also. For those of you who haven’t read Earlene Fowler you are missing a fun mystery/romance series, and for those of you who have been waiting a new Benni Harper book is here.
