The following was in a newsletter from Overdrive which is the software we use for the State Database “Audiobooks, music and more“. If you own an iPhone/ iPad this information will be helpful to you.
OverDrive eBook & Audiobook App Optimized for iPad
OverDrive Media Console for iPhone/iPad v2.2 optimizes the user experience for eBooks and audiobooks on the Apple tablet. Whether users are reading an EPUB eBook, listening to an MP3 audiobook, or browsing the OverDrive Media Console library, they’ll now have the full iPad screen utilized for their enjoyment.
In addition, the app for iOS devices, including iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch, now supports landscape and portrait orientation, and a new calendar icon displays the number of days remaining on the loan.
The free app is available in the App Store, and can be installed on Apple devices running iOS v4.0 (or newer). Users with OverDrive Media Console already installed will be notified that an update is available.

Today we celebrated with the rest of the nation “The Biggest Bedtime Story” here in the library. Pizza Hut and their Book It Reading Program sponsored Justin Bieber reading The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss. We had a fun time with the grade school children wearing their pajamas for the school day.

Hello all, here is a great website about indoor air polution, dust mites, radon, carbon monoxide and VCOs. During the winter when we close our windows and turn up the heat problems can occur. I will be adding this very helpful blog to my Databases on the right column. It is provided by our own Kansas Government. Click on the seal to see it.
Also we are closing early today, Thursday, February 10, so we can help with the Junior High Scholars’ Bowl. We will close at 3:40 pm.
