Well it does look like the winter weather is actually going to happen so we have made the decision to cancel Santa at the Library this year. Don’t worry Santa will make it to your house just not to the library this year. Merry Christmas!
Don’t forget the library will be open each day over the holiday break except the two Monday’s, December 26th and January 2nd. We close for lunch from 12 to 1. Hope to see you at the library!
Rolla Library & School participated in the Read for the Record 2011 program, that has students across the nation all reading the same book on the same day. Click on RedPajama and read the book and see our students.
We had a great time playing water limbo, pop goes the water balloon, beach blanket volleyball and balloon toss. We ended with a luau, smoothies and a hula contest.
What a fun project this was, the kids had a great time and did a really good job!

We all had fun at the Grassland Heritage Festival. Summer Reading & Summer School kids were bused to Elkhart and enjoyed all the activities. Thank you to the Rolla School for including the Summer Reading kids!

Summer Reading begins June 1st, Story Hour will be at 10 o’clock on Tuesdays, Summer Reading for Pre-K to 4th grade will be Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3 o’clock. Toddler Time will be on Thursdays at 10 o’clock. Teen’s (5th – 8th grade) will be Wednesdays at 1:30. We also are having a Summer Reading for the adults, sign up today. Come to the library for your summer fun!
