Hurray! A new Anna Pigeon book. Her books are terrific; they take me right into the National Parks, and I recognize her descriptions when I go to visit them. Also, the Kansas Reads book–Our Boys: A Perfect Season on the Plains is AR. I hope the waiting list doesn’t get too long!

I forgot to mention the book Graceling by Kristin Cashore. It was an awesome scifi book I read this year. I was reminded when I picked up the sequel Fire and started reading it.

All of the Mrs. Pollifax novels are marvelous! My favorite book of the year was Unbroken: A Memoir of World War II. It’s nonfiction that reads like fiction. The reason Heaven is eternal is so we can read all the books we couldn’t get to on Earth!

Yes, I read the Benjamin Franklin book to him. I try to take a nonfiction he will like and read to him as he drives. Kills two birds with one stone, he gets talked to and I get to read!
